~ PRAYER OF THE DAY (COLLECT) ~

We pause to offer prayers and thanksgiving that we bring to our celebration of Holy Communion.

Lord, tireless guardian of your people,

teach us to rely, day and night, on your care.

Drive us to seek your justice and your help,

and support our prayer lest we grow weary,

for in you alone is our strength.

We make our prayer through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Amen

Response to the Two Great Commandments:

Lord, have mercy on us: and write your law in our hearts by your Holy Spirit

A Prayer as we wait for our new Rector

Bountiful God, thank you for giving us a faithful pastor who will faithfully speak your word, minister your sacraments, and encourage and equip your people for ministry; as we await the coming of Christian & Brenda we pray for them as their ministry in Mundingburra draws to a close;

and we pray for ourselves,

that we may have warm and generous hearts

through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

Prayer Point:

For our SRE teachers and students at Goonellabah School

For peace in Syria and to all persecuted Christians caught up in the fighting,

For all the people involved in last week’s floods and natural disasters in Australia and throughout the world.

The sick: Maree Kesby, Marie Cormick, Olive Sheaffe, Joan Sheaffe, Peg Parry, Joy Hutley, Narelle, Len and Maureen Clapham, Bernice Robinson, Anthony Tomor, Margaret Doyle and Hazel Lees.
