We pause to offer prayers and thanksgiving that we bring to our celebration of Holy Communion.

Eternal God,

open your eyes to see your hand at work

in the splendour of creation

and in the beauty of human life.

Help us to cherish the gifts that surround us,

to share our blessings with our sisters and brothers,

and to experience the joy of life in your presence;

through Jesus Christ our Lord,

who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer points:

Courage to allow the love of God to be shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Purity of God to wash us from religiousity to a true relationship with God.

Power to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit in boldness and grace
