~Scripture Sentence~
This is eternal life, that we may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
John 17:3
~ PRAYER OF THE DAY (COLLECT) ~
O God,
whose Son, Jesus, prayed for his disciples,
and sent them into the world
to proclaim the coming of your kingdom:
by your Holy Spirit,
hold the Church in unity,
so that, breaking bread together,
we may be one with Christ in faith and love and service,
now and forever.
Amen.
Prayer points:
- Our Bishop, The Right Reverend Dr Sarah Macneil.
- Pray for people who find the mystery of God difficult as it relates to the reality of life in the world, that an awakening of our life and mission in God may be more fully known.
- Pray for those who are striving to move in various ways from tolerance to acceptance to the celebration of various forms of human diversity, that the Holy Spirit will guide us all to unity.
- Give thanks for the work and witness of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan.
- Give thanks for the faithful people of this Parish and for the ministry that is offered by all people.
